Ned Ryun, President of American Majority, a non-profit and non-partisan political training institute, provides his thoughts on how to begin the process of running for School Board. Know the composition of the current Board and when their seats come up for election. 3. Know the voting universe of your district. 4. Know how much financial resources are required to win a seat. 5. Know who your potential supporters are. 6. Know the resources available on the web. 7. Know what public forums are available for you to raise awareness of your campaign. 8. Know the electoral calendar and work backwards from Election Day.
